Professional Carer (Level 1-2)

The HomeCare Options team work independently to make a difference to the lives of our clients each and every day. If you have a genuine desire to provide excellence in care and service delivery, we invite you to submit an application.

HomeCare Options offers flexibility, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnight and 24hr shifts. This rewarding career allows you to make your own schedule.

We provide a comprehensive induction program to ensure our staff are well equipped to handle the most difficult of circumstances. And support is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week from Registered Nurses.

We run paid monthly meetings and education sessions providing the opportunity to increase your knowledge, and get to know other staff fostering a network of support. HomeCarer Options also funds Certificate level 3 and 4 training in; Aged Care, Community Care and Disability Services.

Our team are like family members working together to help meet client needs. Companionship and human interaction are among the most important of services we can deliver, and, other non-clinical services we perform, such as meal preparations, laundry, shopping and errands also assist the elderly to remain independent at home.

We also employ Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses as well as a team of Allied Health Professionals.

Selection Criteria:

  • Caring or support service experience within the community or residential setting.
  • Relevant studies / qualification (i.e. Certificate III Aged Care)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills including written, verbal and listening skills
  • Flexibility, both in hours of work and in specific tasks to be performed.
  • An understanding and empathy towards the needs of persons with a disability or elderly people.
  • A mature and compassionate approach to work.
  • A practical problem solving ability.
  • An ability to prioritise work requirements.
  • A desire to find opportunities to improve the work of ones self and others.
  • Current WA Drivers License
  • A reliable appropriately maintained vehicle
